VOTM Dec 2016Zack Lotto was selected as Marian University’s Veteran of the Month for December.

Zack Lotto has served in the Army for the past ten years, and is currently still actively serving our country.

“I’m having a great time. I’m hoping to do this for another 10 years, ” said Lotto. “I joined because I was looking for a sense of patriotism and a little adventure.”

The Veteran of the Month contest, presented by Marian University and Sunny 97.7/96.1 WTCX, highlights one area veteran each month. Each veteran chosen receives a plaque, an appreciation package from Marian University and Sunny 97.7’s sponsors, including a 3 credit undergraduate class which can be redeemed in the traditional undergraduate program or any of adult undergraduate sessions. In addition, recipients are honored with a monthly ceremony at Marian University, and have the opportunity to share their story on the radio.

Deserving veterans may be nominated by visiting www.sunny977.com. Marian University will select one veteran at the end of each month.
