Not only does Marian University provide a quality, values-based education, but we offer a variety of special programs that can assist you in reaching your goals. Marian offers programs that can help students at all levels, whether you are a first-year student transitioning to the college atmosphere, an upperclassman who desires to study abroad, a first generation student needing help meeting specific goals or a single parent returning to school.

Dr. George E. Koonce Scholars Program

By providing academic and financial support for minority and underserved communities, the Dr. George E. Koonce Scholars Program aims to put the dream of achieving a college degree within reach for many, so they will grow, personally and professionally.

TRIO

Marian is a proud recipient of the Federal TRIO grant. The Federal TRIO Programs are Federal student services programs designed to assist students from disadvantaged backgrounds be successful at the college level. TRIO includes support for low-income individuals, first-generation college students, and individuals with disabilities to progress through their bachelor’s program.

Working Families

Single, head-of-houseful, parents wanting to earn their bachelor’s degree are supported through the Working Families Program. Students meeting income and parental guidelines with motivation to be successful are encouraged to explore this program. Recipients are able to balance their children’s needs along with studying.
