Office of the President

President’s Message

Regardless of what brings you to Marian University, you’re following in the footsteps of the fearless women who laid the groundwork for the Fond du Lac area to always have access to an educational institution that nurtures the capacity for students to thrive in their education, career, spirituality and service to others.

The Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes founded Marian College in 1936 with the hopes of developing teachers to serve a growing community they had come to love unconditionally. But as that community grew, so did its need for additional educational offerings, and the Sisters recommitted themselves to increasing the school’s capabilities and means for making dreams realities.

Nearly 85 years later, their university has grown considerably – even going as far as to change its name to Marian University in 2008 – but its dedication to offering liberal arts excellence has never changed, nor has its commitment to helping those we are fortunate enough to welcome as students.

We are a vibrant and values-centered learning community that leans heavily on our Catholic faith and core values of Community, Learning, Service, Social Justice and Spiritual Traditions. A commitment to our students remains at the center of everything we do, and we are dedicated to living our mission while treating everyone who utilizes our educational offerings as an individual with distinct needs and interests. We provide personalized attention and support, and want nothing more than to help others achieve greatness while here and well after they’re gone.

I’ve been a member of the Marian University community for nearly 30 years, and I’m confident in saying that no matter why you chose to receive an education from us, that your experience will be as exciting as it is enriching. Whether you’re a traditional, non-traditional, undergraduate, graduate or professional student, the education you receive at Marian University will transcend the classroom to help you transform the world.

Sincerely,

Michelle Majewski
President
