Karen Williams, '22

“I really liked that Marian’s program was hybrid. I enjoyed having in-class time, but also being able to do some of the stuff online. Having a family and working full time, it was nice to have that flexibility with being able to complete some of the coursework online. I really enjoyed the graduate faculty at Marian as well. Being part of such a small class, I was able to really get to know my classmates and professors.”

Karen graduated from Marian university in 2022 with a MS in Nursing. She is currently a nurse in the surgical and pediatric inpatient unit at St. Agnes Hospital.

Jason Venne, ’23

“I chose Marian based on the curriculum within the I/O Psychology and its emphasis on the scientist-practitioner approach. The small class size, flexible calendar, and virtual approach worked really well with my full-time work and family schedule. I really enjoyed working with both my employer and instructor on the practicum project. It was a unique and fulfilling experience to apply what I learned directly to my profession.”

Jason graduated from Marian University in 2023 with a MS in Industrial Organizational Psychology. He is currently the Senior Quality Manager at Oshkosh Defense.

Cathy Venzke, ’24

“Marian’s program has inspired me to do the hard work of self-reflection and personal growth to become a more compassionate and effective educator. It has reminded me of the importance of connecting with my students on a deeper level and providing the support and understanding they need to succeed.”

Cathy was a recent 2024 Marian University graduate. She earned her MAE in At Risk and Alternative Education. Currently she is the Alternative Education Teacher at Raider Academy in the Medford, Wisconsin Public School System.
