Financial Aid Process - Step 2
To be eligible for financial aid at Marian University, students must meet various criteria that reflect their unique circumstances and academic goals. These requirements, which may include factors like enrollment status, GPA, and financial need, ensure that we can support you on your journey to a fulfilling education.
Requirements for Financial Aid:
- Be admitted to Marian University as a degree-seeking student
- Be enrolled in at least half-time
- Maintain good academic standing and satisfactory academic progress
- Ensure you are not child support delinquent to qualify for State of WI assistance
- Have a high school diploma or a General Education Development (GED) certificate
- Meet one of the following citizenship criteria:
- U.S. citizen
- U.S. national (includes natives of American Samoa or Swain’s Island)
- U.S. permanent resident
- Have “refugee,” “asylum granted,” “Cuban-Haitian entrant–status pending” or “conditional entrant”
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
- Certify that you are not currently in default on a federal student loan and do not owe money on a federal student grant
- Certify that you will use federal student aid only for educational purposes
- If a student is male and between the ages of 18 and 25, he must register with Selective Service
