Liberski named MCVL Co-Defensive Player of the Week

LIBERSKICEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – For the first time in program history, Marian University men’s volleyball has had a student-athlete named MCVL Player of the Week.

Sophomore Cullen Liberski has dominated the back row so far this season earning co-defensive player of the week honors following a 2-1 weekend to open MCVL play.  Liberski recorded a total of 47 digs in the three matches with a match-high 21 digs in a five-set loss to Fontbonne and a match-high 17 in the opener against Greenville.  The sophomore libero currently ranks second in the nation with a 3.83 digs per set average.

Marian hosts No. 5 Carthage Friday, Feb. 10 with first serve set for 7 p.m. from Sadoff Gym.
