ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Marian University men’s lacrosse (1-5, 0-0 NACC) had a tough day offensively falling to Augustana (Ill.) 15-3 on the road.

The opening four goals of the game were traded with freshmen Trevor Stachowski and Carter Vanderhoofven scoring for Marian.  The Vikings then scored 10 unanswered and held the Sabre scoreless in the second and third quarters.  Senior Nick Klotz would find the back of the net in the final stanza as the final settled at 15-3.

Senior Casey Dare led the team with five ground balls and freshman Ben Martin had a pair of caused turnovers.  Senior Erik Horman (0-3) made 21 saves in goal for the Sabres.

Marian travels to Northwestern (Minn.) Saturday, March 26 for a 1 p.m. start before opening NACC play at home.
