MEQUON, Wis. – Marian University women’s tennis (0-4, 0-1 NACC) dropped their NACC opener to CUW by a 7-2 final.

Concordia Wisconsin was able to jump out to an early 3-0 lead on the Sabres after doubles action, but the top spots in singles for the Sabres were able to have solid performances and earn victories.  At the No. 1 flight, Carly Paulson was able to earn her first singles victory of the season by a 6-3, 6-2 tally.  Then at the No. 2 flight Aeryn Olson was able to continue her fast start to the season earning a 6-4, 6-2 victory.  The win puts Olson at 2-1 on the year at the No. 2 flight.  Aubree Helstad was able to earn a victory in the first set of her No. 3 flight by a 6-4 margin before falling in the second set 6-1 and the tiebreak 10-6.

Marian plays their first home match of the season hosting MSOE tomorrow, Sunday, Sept. 12, at 11 a.m. from Fond du Lac High School.
