WAUKESHA, Wis. – Marian University women’s lacrosse (0-2, 0-0 NACC) was defeated by Carroll 19-5 in non-conference action.
- Carroll was able to score the first six goals of the game.
- The Sabres were able to outscore the Pioneers the rest of the quarter 3-2.
- Marian was then shutout in the second quarter while Carroll built its lead to 15-3.
- The Sabres were able to get back on the scoreboard with two goals in the third quarter and held the Pioneers to just four goals in the second half.
- Marian was outshot 32-16 for the game with the Sabres having 12 shots on goal.
- The Sabres finished with 14 successful clears on 17 chances.
- Marian had 11 draw controls while Carroll had 18.
