Marian University women’s lacrosse (5-6, 0-2 NACC) stumbled at home for the first time this season falling to Aurora 21-1.
- The NACC preseason favorite, Aurora, held Marian scoreless in the first half and built a 14-0 lead.
- The Spartans scored the first four goals of the third quarter.
- Junior Jazmine Barrios was able to end the shutout scoring with 1:54 left in the third quarter.
- Aurora closed out the win with three goals in the fourth quarter.
- Aurora had double-digit shots in two quarters and finished with a 36-10 advantage.
- Marian narrowly lost the ground-ball battle by a 21-19 margin.
- The Spartans also won the turnover battle by a 26-19 margin.
