Marian University women’s basketball (2-7, 0-3 NACC) mounted a comeback after outscoring St. Norbert in the third quarter but fell to the Green Knights 75-51.

The Sabre defense had a tough time in the opening half as St. Norbert would shoot 17-31 (.548) from the field and take a 37-19 lead into halftime.  Marian didn’t cave, however, as the Sabres opened the third quarter with an 11-3 run cutting their deficit down to 40-30.  The Green Knights responded with a quick 8-2 spurt to extend their lead and go ahead 55-40 going into the final quarter.  St. Norbert scored the first nine points of the final quarter and was able to cruise the rest of the way to a 75-51 win.

Senior Paris Harris once again led the Sabres scoring 17 points with six rebounds, while junior Claire Levendoski made four three-pointers en route to 14 points.

Marian remains at home to host Concordia Chicago Saturday, Dec. 11 for a 2 p.m. tip.
