Marian University women’s basketball (6-13, 4-9 NACC) was defeated by Concordia Wisconsin 71-55 in NACC action.
A tough defense from the Falcons held Marian to just 3-of-17 shooting in the first quarter. This helped CUW build a 24-7 advantage after the first 10 minutes of action. The remainder of the game was back-and-forth as Marian outscored the Falcons 48-47 over the final three quarters. The fourth quarter saw Marian hold CUW to 4-of-15 (.267) shooting from the field as the Sabres outscored the Falcons 16-11.
Senior Paris Harris posted 11 points and added nine rebounds, while freshman Hope Burns chipped in 10 points. Senior Sierra Strope-Robinson had a pair of blocks to go with eight points and six boards.
Marian remains at home to host Edgewood Saturday, Feb. 5 for a 2 p.m. tip in NACC play.
