- The Cougars ended the quarter with four unanswered points to build momentum going into the fourth.
- CUC was able to score another five unanswered points to open the fourth quarter and build a 50-49 lead with 8:31 to play.
- Marian battled back to take a 57-56 lead with 2:37 left to play before CUC had another strong finish.
- The Cougars would close out the game on a 12-4 run to finish with a 68-61 win.
- Marian shot 24-of-66 (.364) from the field for the game and 7-of-22 (.318) from beyond the arc. The Sabres shot 15-of-32 (.469) in the first half from the field.
- The Sabres outscored Concordia Chicago 28-22 in the paint and 20-11 in points off turnovers.
