Marian University men’s lacrosse (3-8, 1-3 NACC) led at halftime but were shutout in the second half falling to CUW 10-6.

The Falcons scored just 1:11 into the game but the remainder of the quarter was all Marian.  The Sabres would have three different goal scorers to build a 3-1 lead after the first 15 minutes.  Marian extended their lead out to 5-1 with 11:48 left in the second quarter after freshman Austin Lemke and senior Nick Klotz found the back of the net.  CUW bounced back scoring four unanswered goals to tie the game at 5-5 with 5:57 left until half.  With just 19 seconds remaining, senior Finn Maloney gave Marian a 6-5 edge going into the break with an assist from fellow senior Garrett Houlihan.

Concordia Wisconsin was able to score four goals in the third quarter to take a 9-6 lead and scored just once in the fourth quarter to set the final score at 10-6.

Klotz finished with three points scoring twice with one assist, while sophomore Sean Gordon and senior Casey Dare each had seven ground balls.  Senior Erik Horman (2-6) made 12 saves on 22 shots and was also able to grab seven ground balls.

Marian takes on Illinois Tech Saturday, April 16 for a 1 p.m. NACC match-up.
