MILWAUKEE – Marian University men’s lacrosse received 72 total points to finish the NACC preseason poll in sixth place.
Aurora was a near unanimous pick to win the conference receiving 161 points and 15 of the 16 first-place votes. The Spartans won the regular season crown but were defeated by Benedictine in the tournament championship to be denied a trip to the NCAA Tournament. The second to fourth spots were highly competitive and separated by just nine points. CUW led the group with 129 points followed by Benedictine who had 123 points and the last first-place vote. MSOE rounded out the preseason NACC Tournament with 120 points.
Illinois Tech finished just ahead of Marian with 89 points. The Sabres were able to finish ahead of Edgewood (61), Beloit (37), and Concordia Chicago (18).

Marian opens the season at home hosting Carthage Sunday, February 19 for a 1 p.m. start.
