Marian University men’s lacrosse (8-3, 1-2 NACC) dropped back-to-back games for the first time this season falling to Aurora 21-7.

  • The Spartans were able to jump out to a fast start scoring five goals in the opening quarter.
  • Aurora then scored the first six goals of the second quarter to go ahead 11-0.
  • Freshman Connor Fitzgerald was able to get Marian on the board as the Sabres went into halftime trailing 12-1.
  • Aurora would outscore Marian 4-2 in the third quarter before a busy fourth quarter.
  • Marian would have a stretch scoring four out of five goals to cut its deficit to 18-7 in the final stanza.
  • Aurora closed out the game with the final three goals, however.
  • Aurora finished with an 80-23 advantage in shots and 48-21 edge in ground balls.
  • Marian had a tough time in faceoffs winning only eight of the 30 draws.
