GALENA, Ill. – Marian University men’s golf shot a 369 to finish in 14th place at the Clarke Fall Invite.
The top three Marian scorers were separated by just three strokes with John Elsen carding an 88 to lead the way for the Sabres and finish in 54th. Michael Cosenza and Luke Bufton each shot a 91 to finish in 66th. Riley Hendrickson finished the scoring for the Sabres with a 99, while Jake Grabarek had a 104 to finish out the Sabre lineup.
Iowa Central Community College shot a team score of 304 to win the invite, while Luke Galeazzi from Hawkeye Community College finished with a one-over-par 73 to earn individual honors.
Marian has a quick turnaround competing at the Culver’s Edgewood Fall Classic Sept. 2-3 at Glen Erin Golf Course.
