HARTFORD, Wis. – Marian University men’s golf recorded scores of 460 and 440 at the WLC Fall Invitational.

The Sabres had a tough opening round but were able to bounce-back in the second round. Jake Mooring carded an 81 in the second round for the lowest round of any Sabre for the invite. Mooring finished in a tie for 62nd with his 88 in the first round.

John Elsen improved by 10 strokes recording an 83 in the second round. Riley Hendrickson and Luke Bufton finished just two strokes apart scoring a 181 and 183, respectively. Jake Grabarek was consistent for both rounds recording a 96 and 97. Michael Cosenza had a 94 in the first round and Kaden Hansen shot a 109 to round out the Marian lineup.

Luther won the invite with a 736, while Brandon Dorans of Luther and Jack Vercautren of Aurora finished two-under-par to sit atop the individual leader board.

Marian travels to the Midwest Region Classic Sept. 25-26.
