Marian University men’s basketball (3-19, 3-12 NACC) fell to Rockford 75-56 at home.

  • Marian was able to overcome a slow start and only trailed 9-8 in the early going.
  • The one-possession game continued to a 16-15 Rockford advantage before the Regents went on a 12-1 spurt to lead 28-16.
  • The Sabres were able to score eight unanswered to only trail by four but Rockford would head into half leading 31-24.
  • The Regents dominated the opening minutes of the second half opening on a 15-2 run to lead 46-26.
  • Rockford was able to build a lead as large as 25 points before the final settled at 75-56.
  • Marian shot 22-of-51 (.431) for the game and 9-of-21 (.429) from beyond the arc.
  • Rockford finished 28-of-50 (.560) and 11-of-24 (.458) on three-pointers.
  • Rockford led 30-20 in points in the paint and 11-2 in fast break points.
