Samantha MuellerWHITEWATER, Wis. – Senior Samantha Mueller of Marian University women’s bowling has been named first-team all-conference, as announced by the league Thursday afternoon.

In her only senior as a Sabre, Mueller (Fond du Lac, Wis.) helped lay the foundation for the Sabre women’s bowling program in their inaugural season.  Mueller helped lead Marian to the fourth-highest average per frame in the conference at 16.1 and the third-highest team strike percentage in the Baker format at 28.1-percent.  She proved to be the top bowler on the squad all season long finishing the year seventh in the CIBC with a 17.7 average per frame.  Mueller also finished third in the conference for 10th frame scoring, and fifth in the CIBC for nine-pin conversion rate.

Due to the cancellation of the inaugural conference championship due to the COVID-19 virus, UW-Whitewater was named the conference champion based on the NCAA RPI ranking system, overall record, scoring average, and winning percentage against conference opponents.  Junior Mary Conneely of the Warhawks was named the player of the year for the conference.

Freshman Camryn Feehan of Augustana was named the rookie of the year, while head coach Seth Tegtmeier, also of Augustana, was named the coach of the year.
