Keegan Miller has been named the third head coach of the Marian University men’s soccer program, as announced by Director of Athletics Tony Draves.

“Keegan has ahd an enormous impact on our campus since his arrival,” said Draves. “He couldn’t be more deserving of this opportunity. I’m very excited to see Keegan put his stamp on the program and continue to build on the success of Marian men’s soccer.”

Miller has served as an assistant coach and the recruiting coordinator for the men’s soccer program the past five seasons. Marian has made the NACC Tournament twice during his time as a Sabre and he was a part of the 2022 NACC Coaching Staff of the Year. Last season the Sabres went 10-7-2 marking just the third winning season in the NACC era. Marian also set a NACC era record for conference wins going 7-3-2. A total of 11 all-conference awards have been earned by Sabre student-athletes under his assistance.

“I’d first like to thank Craig Peltonen for his mentorship and guidance over the past five seasons,” said Miller. “It’s been a privilege to coach with him and I’m humbled to follow in his footsteps. I would also like to thank Director of Athletics Tony Draves for giving me the opportunity to lead this program and build upon its historic past.”

He joined Marian after a long history coaching club soccer in the states of Washington and Colorado. Most recently, he was the director of coaching for Kitsap Alliance FC in Silverdale, Wash. Prior to that, he was an age group director for the Real Colorado Edge SC. Miller is a USSF “A” license coach.

On the pitch, Miller played with the Denver Kicker USASA U23 team that won back-to-back national championships in 2003 and 2004. He played collegiate soccer at the NCAA Division II and Division III level, graduating from Metro State with a bachelor of arts in history.
