Marian University women’s volleyball (15-11, 7-6 NACC) sweeps Alverno on senior night 25-13, 25-21, and 25-6.

  • Alverno was able to bring the score within three with a short 4-2 run of its own.
  • Marian quickly went on an 11-3 run before the Inferno made things interesting behind a 12-3 run.
  • The Sabres would close out set two with kills from seniors Kaitlyn Merrill and Anna Tapia.
  • Set three was all Marian as the offense got hot behind an 8-3 run to open the set.
  • Marian never looked back behind a dominant run to take set three easily 25-6.
  • Marian held the advantage in every statistical category with the largest advantage in kills 40-22.
