DE PERE, Wis. – Marian University women’s volleyball (10-7, 2-3 NACC) fell to St. Norbert in straights in NACC action before sweeping Beloit for the second time this season.

Marian had a tough time against the Green Knights to open the day falling 25-7, 25-22, and 25-12.  Sophomore Kaitlyn Merrill recorded a team-best eight kills, while senior Brooklyn Taylor led a trio of Sabres who finished with double-digit digs recording 14 herself.

The Sabres bounced back quickly winning three tightly-contested sets against Beloit with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, and 27-25.  The Marian offense dominated recording 44 kills with at least 13 kills in every set.  Marian had four starters reach at least eight kills with junior Andrea Miller and sophomore Serina Pehowski each recording nine kills with Pehowski also hitting .318.

Taylor added another 18 digs from the back row with Miller finishing with 13 digs to go with four service aces.  Sophomore Reagan Jasica also had four service aces to go with 12 digs.

Marian returns home to host Concordia Chicago Friday, Oct. 8 for a 7 p.m. first serve.
