MILWAUKEE – Marian University women’s volleyball received 118 votes to finish 11th according to the NACC preseason poll, as voted on by the head coaches and sports information directors of the conference.

With a young roster, the Sabres were able to narrowly miss out on the NACC North Tournament finishing the season 3-7 with a 2-6 NACC ledger.  All three of the Marian victories were sweeps on the road with the Sabres only being swept once by their opponent.  The Sabres were able to handily take both matches against MSOE in NACC action and closed out the season with a convincing sweep on the road at Ripon.  Marian also dropped a pair of matches that needed five sets to decide in the spring version of the 2021 season.

Aurora collected 21 of the first-place votes to be picked as the favorite to win the conference with 384 total points.  CUW was second in the poll receiving five of the final seven first-place votes that were up for grabs.

Marian travels to the Forester Invite Sept. 3-4 to kick-off the season with the Sabres taking on Carthage, Lake Forest, Mount Mary, and Loras in that two-day span.
