MILWAUKEE – Marian University women’s tennis finished with 72 points to take seventh in the NACC preseason poll, as voted on by the head coaches and sports information directors of the league.

A highly-competitive top of the poll saw Edgewood, Concordia Wisconsin, and Illinois Tech all garner first-place recognition and finish within 17 points of each other. Edgewood earned the most first-place votes with 12. Wisconsin Lutheran, MSOE, and St. Norbert were the next three schools in the poll and the last institutions to finish with more than 100 points. Following the Sabres was Concordia Chicago, Lakeland, and Alverno.

Marian opens the season at the Cornell Invite taking on Elmhurst and Buena Vista Saturday, September 3.
