KOHLER, Wis. – Marian University women’s tennis (3-7, 3-4 NACC) defeated Lakeland 7-2 in NACC action.

Marian was able to open the match with a 2-1 lead after doubles action led by an 8-2 win at No. 1 by Aeryn Olson and Carly Paulson.  The victory is their third straight win together at the top flight.  Abby Okon and Katrina Pokorny then teamed up for an 8-3 victory at No. 3.

The Sabres were then able to take five of the six singles matches to earn the NACC win.  Paulson and Olson then continued their dominance into doubles action with each winning 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 1 and No. 2 spot, respectively.  Julia Loomans bounced back at No. 3 with a 6-2, 6-0 win, while Madeline Chimenti won 6-4, 6-3 at No. 4 in her first action of the season.  Okon then completed the win only dropping one game at No. 5 with a 6-1, 6-0 win.

Marian plays their final home match of the season hosting St. Norbert at 11 a.m. tomorrow, Sunday, Oct. 3.
