Marian University women’s lacrosse (3-2, 0-0 NACC) defeated Elmhurst 12-1 for its third straight win.

  • The Sabres jumped out fast scoring the first five goals of the game with two being man-down goals.
  • Marian would lead 3-0 after the first quarter and 7-1 going into halftime.
  • Junior Taylor Russo scored the lone goal of the third period before Marian put the game away with four goals in the final stanza.
  • Marian had four different goal scorers in the fourth quarter setting the final at 12-1.
  • Marian outshot Elmhurst 40-9 in the victory.
  • The Sabre defense forced 46 turnovers and held Elmhurst to 8-of-37 (.216) on clear attempts.
  • The Sabres also had a 9-7 advantage for draw controls and 33-21 edge in ground balls.
