GALENA, Ill. – Marian University women’s golf finished in third place at the Clarke Invite after carding a score of 410.
Emma Anderson led the scoring for the Sabres in her first collegiate event carding a 99 to finish in 15th place. Amber Debolt and Ashley Graves each finished one stroke behind Anderson, while Zoey Cruz-Eisenbraun carded a 111 to round out the scoring for Marian. Lilly Accola closed out the Sabre lineup with a 120.
Morgan Hernandez had a strong return to the links competing as an individual and carding a 92 to finish in a tie for seventh. Kayla Gray earned a finish inside the top-13 after recording a 97. Samantha Gutzwiller was the final Sabre who competed as an individual recording a score of 118.
Augustana (Ill.) earned the team victory with a score of 327 and had four of the top-five finishers. Avery Frick of the Vikings earned medalist honors with a seven-over-par 79.
Marian travels to Mascoutin Golf Club Sept. 4-5 for the UW-Oshkosh Invite.
