FORT ATKINSON, Wis. – Marian University women’s bowling averaged 180.3 over 45 total games to finish third at the UWW Warhawk Open.
The Sabres were able to get out to a strong start and found themselves in first place after the opening day of traditional matches. Marian was able to go 4-1 after averaging 181.3 pins with a 4,532-pin total. A tournament-best 979 capped off the day for Marian. The Sabres were able to produce similar scores during Baker and finished with a total Baker score of 3,581 over four matches. Marian finished above 860 pins in all four matches including a team-best 925 in the second match.
Brenna Schiekiera led the way for Marian finishing third on the individual leaderboard averaging 191 pins. Schiekera closed out the tournament with a tournament-best 259 in her final game. Addison Jacak and Isabelle Barber also finished in the top 10 earning sixth and 10th place, respectively. Jacak was able to finish with a 185.8 average and Barber a 180.4 average. Jazmin Koeberl then had a 175.8 average and Jenna Betts finished with a 173.4 average.
Marian next travels to the Valparaiso Crusader Classic Oct. 28-30.
