LOVES PARK, Ill. – Marian University women’s bowling averaged 884 to finish in second place at the GLBC II Tournament.
The Sabres would finish just behind Davenport who averaged an 890 for the event. The Sabres had won the first GLBC Tournament of the season after averaging 950 pins two weeks prior. Alexis Jacak, Jenna Betts, and Alyssa Ritchie all averaged at least 180 pins for the event to finish in the top 10 of individuals.
Marian had a pair of top-10 finishers for the event led by Josie Parr who came in ninth with an average of 176 over six games. Just one pin behind Parr was Brenna Schiekiera who came in 10th at 175. Betts bowled three games for the Sabres averaging 161, while Jacak averaged 183 over five games as they both finished in the top 20.
Addison Jacak and Isabelle Barber each competed in four games for Marian with Jacak averaging 176 and Barber finishing at 160. Rounding out the Marian lineup was Jazmin Koeberl who averaged 170 over a pair of games.
Marian will next head to the Valparaiso Crusader Classic Oct. 29-31 at the Stardust Bowl in Dryer, Ind.
