MILWAUKEE – Marian University women’s basketball received 141 total points to finish the NACC preseason poll in 10th, as voted on by the head coaches and sports information professionals of the league.
St. Norbert won the league a season ago and was picked as the favorite once again with 373 points and 15 first-place votes. The Green Knights narrowly edged out Wisconsin Lutheran who picked up 370 votes and the remaining 13 first-place selections. Aurora and Concordia Wisconsin finished closely to each other at 320 and 307 points, while Edgewood wasn’t far behind at 291 points. Benedictine was next at 238 points. Concordia Chicago and Lakeland rounded out the preseason NACC Tournament selections at 208 and 206 points, respectively.
MSOE was next at 185 points followed by Marian with 141 points and IIT at 109. Rockford, Dominican, and Alverno closed out the preseason poll at 88, 76, and 28 points, respectively.

Marian opens the season at the Hope Tip-Off Tournament taking on Hope Thursday, Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. (CST).
