Marian University (Wisconsin) is hosting Iceland’s Midnight Sun 2026 travel program, in partnership with Collette, offering faculty, staff, students, and community members a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore Iceland’s dramatic natural wonders during the season of nearly continuous daylight. The program highlights include Reykjavik, the Golden Circle’s geothermal marvels, Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss waterfall, black volcanic sand beaches, and the breathtaking Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon. This trip will run July 22 – 31, 2026.
Prospective participants and their families are invited to attend a virtual information session on Wednesday, January 14 at 4 p.m. to learn more about the itinerary, academic and cultural experiences, travel logistics, and how to register. The session will provide insights into travel dates, cost, and any academic credit opportunities available through Marian University.
The Iceland’s Midnight Sun itinerary spans 10 days and 9 nights, including 15 meals and accommodations in carefully selected lodgings. Participants will explore iconic Icelandic destinations and enjoy guided tours that combine scenic beauty with educational enrichment — all under the unique summer light that gives the program its name.
“We’re excited to offer this immersive travel experience that connects with the world’s extraordinary environments,” Tracy Qualmann, Assistant Vice President and Marian travel coordinator, said. “I traveled with Collette in November of 2025, and the experience was phenomenal! Iceland’s landscapes and cultural experiences will provide an unparalleled backdrop for an exceptional trip.”
