MILWAUKEE – Marian University men’s volleyball received 176 points to finish sixth in the NACC preseason poll, as voted on by the head coaches and sports information directors of the league.
Topping the poll was reigning NACC champion Benedictine who earned the automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament for the conference. The Eagles received 322 total points and 15 of the first-place tallies. Aurora finished just 10 points behind Benedictine and grabbed eight first-place votes. A steep drop off saw Dominican finish third at 271 and grab two first-place votes. Concordia Wisconsin wasn’t far behind the Stars at 266. MSOE earned the final first-place vote of the poll and was fifth at 255.
Marian and Illinois Tech were separated by just two points for sixth place with Marian grabbing 176 points and the Scarlet Hawks 174. Similarly, Concordia Chicago and St. Norbert were separated by just two points for eighth place with 147 and 145 points, respectively. Edgewood was the final institution to eclipse 100 points with 124. Lakeland, Rockford, and Wisconsin Lutheran rounded out the poll.

Marian hosts a tournament to open the season January 19-20 with Marian welcoming Olivet, Calvin, and North Park to Sadoff Gym for the weekend.
