MILWAUKEE – Marian University men’s volleyball received 233 total points to finish fifth in the NACC preseason poll.

Aurora was picked as the league favorite receiving nine first-place votes and 310 points. Benedictine was just three points behind the Spartans and received four first-place votes. Dominican finished third and had the most first-place votes with 12 and had 294 points, while CUW earned the final first-place vote and 250 points. Marian followed the Falcons and just three points behind the Sabres was MSOE to round out the preseason NACC Tournament selections.

A sharp decline followed with Concordia Chicago receiving 171 points and IIT 151. The final three teams with over 100 points were Lakeland, St. Norbert, and Edgewood, respectively. Rockford and Wisconsin Lutheran rounded out the poll.

Marian opens the season at Trine Friday, January 20 for a 4 p.m. (CDT) first serve.
