MILWAUKEE – Marian University men’s lacrosse received 91 points to finish the NACC preseason poll in fifth place, as voted on by the sports information directors and head coaches of the league.

Benedictine, who also won the inaugural NACC tournament and advanced to the NCAA Division III Men’s Lacrosse Championship, racked up 159 points behind 15 first-place votes to finish 13 markers clear of runner-up Aurora University. The Spartans pulled in the final three first-place votes to finish with 146 points. Milwaukee School of Engineering was third with 119 points, just ahead of Concordia University Wisconsin (111) in fourth and Marian University (91) in fifth.

Illinois Institute of Technology (74), Edgewood College (42), Concordia University Chicago (36), and Beloit College (32) round out the poll.

Marian travels to Monmouth (Ill.) to open the season Saturday, February 19 at 1 p.m.
