Marian University men’s lacrosse (3-5, 1-0 NACC) shutout Concordia Chicago in the first half en route to a 21-2 victory.

The Sabres were able to score eight goals in the first quarter and added another nine goals in the second, two with a man-advantage, to build a 17-0 lead going into halftime.  Senior Nick Klotz had a pair of goals and five assists through the first two quarters, while freshman Austin Lemke scored six times.  Senior Finn Maloney then scored three of the four Marian goals in the second half with fellow senior Garrett Houlihan earning an assist on all four goals.

Lemke and Klotz each finished the game with seven points to lead the offense, while freshman Serge Simard scored four times as well.  Senior Erik Horman (2-3) earned the victory in net with junior Richard Summers III making a pair of saves and senior Erik Infante stopping one shot.

Senior Casey Dare went 14-of-17 in the faceoff circle collecting a game-high 13 ground balls, while freshman Ben Martin added nine ground balls to go with three caused turnovers.

Marian travels to MSOE Tuesday, April 5 for a 7 p.m. NACC game.
