KENOSHA, Wis. – Marian University men’s golf shot a 303, its lowest round of the season, to win the Carthage Spring Invite by seven strokes.

Patrick Treichel shot one-under over his first nine holes and finished in a tie for fourth place with a 73.  Tyler DeMeuse had a similar round shooting one-over on the front nine and two-over on the way back to also card a 73 and tie with Treichel in fourth.

In his first collegiate round, Andrew Case recorded three birdies in his round to finish with a 75, good for a tie for eighth on the individual leaderboard.  John Elsen concluded the scoring for the Sabres carding an 82, while Jake Bell carded a 95 to round out the Marian lineup.

Garrett Schultz of MSOE claimed the individual title shooting an even-par 70 for the event.

Marian travels to Stonebridge Country Club for the final rounds of the NACC Championship April 24-25.  The Sabres enter the final rounds in fifth place after the opening rounds during the fall.
