ROCKFORD, Ill. – Marian University men’s bowling won the GLBC II Tournament after recording a team score of 3,377 and a Baker score of 3,377 for an average of 1,104.

The Sabres had three bowlers finish in the top five of the event and were led by Gavin Suprenand who earned the individual title with a total of 1,543 or a 257 average over six games.  Rylee Schwartz then finished in fourth place with a 233 average and was followed closely by Ryan Dreikosen who averaged 230 for a fifth-place finish.  Jason Claus was able to average 210 for the Sabres with Hunter Hoffman averaging 204.8 over five games.  Josh Lynt closed out the Marian lineup recording a 166 in his only game of action.

Through four tournaments so far this season, Marian has four bowlers averaging over 200 led by Suprenand who has an individual title with a top-five finish averaging 211.5.  Schwartz, Dreikosen, and Will Rouech join Suprenand averaging more than 200 pins so far this season.

Marian returns to action for the Five Seasons Classic Oct. 29-31 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
