Marian University men’s basketball (7-6, 5-2 NACC) defeated Dominican 77-61 on the road.

  • The Stars scored the first four points of the game to which Marian responded with 12 unanswered points and never looked back.
  • Marian built a 13-point lead at 28-15 only to have Dominican score 13 unanswered to only trail six points.
  • The Sabres closed out the final 2:46 of the first half with nine unanswered points to go into halftime leading 37-22.
  • Marian maintained a double-digit lead for most of the second half and led by as much as 22 with 3:14 left to play at 71-49.
  • Marian shot 29-of-65 (.446) from the field and 10-of-26 (.385) from beyond the arc.
  • The Sabre defense held Dominican to just 26.9 percent shooting from the field in the first half and didn’t allow a three-pointer. Dominican finished just 21-of-58 (.362) from the field and 2-of-16 (.125) on three-pointers.
  • Marian outrebounded Dominican by a 41-34 margin.
