MILWAUKEE – Marian University baseball received 156 total points to finish the NACC preseason poll in ninth, as voted on by the head coaches and athletic communication professionals of the league.

Aurora reached the regional final at the NCAA Tournament a season ago and was picked atop the poll with 333 total points and 21 of the first-place picks. MSOE earned the automatic bid for the conference last year and came in second with 298 points and one first-place votes Bendictine received three first-place votes and was just behind MSOE. St. Norbert and Edgewood were the final two schools with more than 200 points with the Eagles taking the final first-place pick. Concordia Wisconsin rounded out the preseason NACC Tournament with 199 points.

Concordia Chicago (179), Dominican (158), and the Sabres were the final three schools to finish with more than 100 points. Lakeland and Rockford were just behind the Sabres. Illinois Tech and Wisconsin rounded out the poll just three points apart.

Marian opens the season in Florida at the RussMatt Invitational from March 4-11 opening the year with a varsity-reserve game.
