MILWAUKEE – Junior Peyton Loesch of Marian University softball has been named the NACC player of the week, as voted on by the sports information directors of the league.
Loesch (Bolingbrook, Ill.) had a strong finish to the annual spring trip hitting 12-for-19 (.632) with a 1.053 slugging percentage. She also scored seven times and drove in six runs. Loesch had four multi-hit games including a 3-for-3 game against North Park where she scored three runs and drove in another four. Defensively, she only had one error in 47 total chances for a .979 fielding percentage. Loesch also pitched in four games, allowing three runs, two earned, in 6.1 innings in the circle.
