MEQUON, Wis. – Marian University men’s lacrosse (8-4, 1-3 NACC) scored the final four goals of the game but fell at Concordia Wisconsin 18-17.

  • Marian had a strong start scoring four goals in the first six minutes to build a 4-1 lead.
  • The Sabres brought the lead out to 6-2 before CUW cut the Sabre lead down to 9-8 going into halftime.
  • Marian opened up the lead again to 11-8 after scoring the first two goals of the third quarter.
  • Concordia Wisconsin responded with eight unanswered goals to ahead 16-11.
  • The Falcons brought the lead out to 18-13 with 4:20 to play.
  • Senior Nate Htwe led a late charge scoring three goals but Marian was unable to find an equalizing goal in the final 39 seconds.
  • CUW outshot the Sabres 49-39 for the game and had a 45-27 advantage on ground balls.
  • Marian won the turnover battle forcing 28 turnovers and committing only 24.
