Marian University men’s basketball (11-9, 9-4 NACC) had a tough game on the defensive end falling to Edgewood 88-69.

  • Marian opened the game with a 14-11 lead at the 14:11 mark but from there it was all Edgewood.
  • The Eagles then used a 19-4 run to go ahead 30-18.
  • The Sabres were able to trim the deficit down to as small as five but Edgewood would lead the remainder of the game. 41-36
  • Edgewood scored 15 unanswered points that spanned the final 2:06 of the first half and opening 3:31 of the second half to pull away.
  • Marian shot 28-of-61 (.459) from the field and 4-of-12 (.333) from beyond the arc.
  • Edgewood shot 35-of-57 (.614) from the field and 6-of-12 (.500) on three-pointers.
  • The Eagles had a 20-4 advantage in points off turnovers and 56-32 edge in the paint.
