CHICAGO – Marian University men’s volleyball (4-4, 0-0 NACC) fell on the road at North Park in straight sets.

  • North Park was able to get out to a 13-7 lead in the first set and brought that lead out to 24-19.
  • Marian wouldn’t go away scoring four straight points but the Vikings were able to take the opening set 25-23.
  • The second set was a back-and-forth affair throughout that opened with an 11-11 draw.
  • North Park then scored four unanswered points which proved to be the difference in a 25-22 win.
  • The third set opened similarly with North Park leading 12-11.
  • The Vikings were able to pull away with an 8-2 run to secure the sweep.
  • The Marian offense had a tough night recording only 26 kills and hitting .118 for the match.
  • Each team had 38 digs and eight blocks on the defensive side.
