MADISON, Wis. – Marian University women’s basketball (6-15, 5-10 NACC) struggled offensively in an 81-64 loss at Edgewood.

  • Edgewood never trailed jumping out to a quick 8-2 lead to open the game.
  • Marian was able to cut the deficit down to 10-8 but the Eagles outscored Marian 13-5 the remainder of the opening stanza to pull away early.
  • The Eagles were able to outscore Marian 23-18 in the second quarter and 17-11 in the third stanza.
  • Marian was able to build momentum at the end of the game outscoring Edgewood 22-18 in the final quarter.
  • Marian shot 25-of-73 (.342) from the field and just 5-of-31 (.161) on three-pointers.
  • Edgewood went 34-of-70 (.486) from the field and 6-of-19 (.316) from beyond the arc.
  • Marian won the turnover battle by a 19-10 margin and outscored the Eagles 15-9 in points off turnovers.
  • Edgewood outscored Marian 44-20 for points in the paint.
