Marian University women’s ice hockey (6-14-1, 2-9-0-1 NCHA) suffered a sweep against Aurora falling 5-0 in the series finale.
- The Spartans got out to a fast start scoring three goals in the first 12:43 of the game with one being on a power play.
- Marian outshot Aurora in the second period but the Spartans scored once to extend its lead
- Aurora then scored one final goal in the third period to set the final at 5-0.
- Marian was outshot 38-22 for the game but outshot Aurora 11-6 in the second period.
- The Marian power play was scoreless on four chances, while Aurora had one power-play goal on two chances.
- The Sabres had 33 faceoff wins to only 27 for Aurora, or 55.0 percent.
