MEQUON, Wis. – Marian University men’s basketball (11-7, 9-2 NACC) took care of things at home defeating Dominican 91-66.

  • The two squads battled to a 21-21 tie with 9:28 left in the half before Marian took over.
  • The Sabres would end the half with a 29-9 run and take a 50-30 lead into halftime.
  • Marian continued to build on its lead to open the second half building the lead to as large as 28 at 70-42 with 12:50 left to play.
  • Dominican trimmed its deficit to as small as 15 but the Sabres were able to pull away late again and cruised to a 91-66 win.
  • Marian shot 20-of-30 (.667) and 6-of-10 (.600) from three-point range in the opening half. The Sabres finished 35-of-68 (.515) and 12-of-29 (.414) on three-pointers.
  • The Sabres were able to force 15 Dominican turnovers and outscored the Stars 17-8 in points off turnovers.
  • The 91 points scored by Marian is the most in a single game this season.
