Marian University men’s hockey finished with 37 points to finish in a tie for sixth in the NCHA preseason poll, as voted on by the head coaches of the league.

Reigning national champion Adrian College was picked as the league favorite receiving 81 total points and nine first-place votes. St. Norbert followed with 71 total points and Aurora finished behind St. Norbert receiving 66 points and the final first-place vote. A tie for fourth saw MSOE and Trine each earn 52 points and another tie for sixth came with Marian and Lake Forest earning 37 points.

Lawrence fell just nine points behind the tie for sixth with 28 points, while Concordia Wisconsin and Finlandia each earned 13 points to tie for the final spot in the poll.

Marian opens the season at home with a two-game series against Concordia Moorhead October 29-30.
