Marian University women’s golf finished fourth at the Marian Invite after tying a program record with a 365 in the first round followed by a 399.
Morgan Hernandez competed in just the first round and shot the lowest round of the invite for the Sabres with an 88. Ashley Graves just finished outside the top 10 coming in a tie for 11th after recording scores of 89 and 96. Kayla Gray was next for the Sabres with a 15th-place finish at 91 and 95. Amber Debolt then carded a 97 and 102 followed by Emma Anderson who shot a 97 and 106 to round out the Marian lineup.
Of the individuals, Zoey Cruz-Eisenbraun had a solid pair of rounds finishing in a tie for 22nd with a 99 and 94. Lily Accola was just one stroke off the pace shooting a 99 and 95. Samantha Gutzwiller had a strong bounce-back performance recording scores of 103 and 94. Sarah Lach also had a strong bounce-back round to finish the Marian lineup with a 105 and 96.
Lake Forest won the invite with a team score of 711, while Emma Laundrie of St. Norbert earned medalist honors with an 83 and 88.
Marian travels to the WLC Triangular Thursday, Sept. 15 at Dretzka Park.
