LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced its 2022 Scholar All-American Team and Division III Team All-Academic recipients.

Senior Casey Dare (Stevensville, Md.) becomes the first Sabre in program history to earn recognition.  To be named to the USILA Scholar All-American Team, student-athletes must carry a cumulative grade point average above a 3.00 and have senior academic standing. The athlete also must be an All-American, a member of the North-South team, or an outstanding league or conference player. The student-athlete will have behaved in a manner that has brought credit to himself, his institution and to college lacrosse both on and off the field.

Dare also earned an honorable mention selection from the NACC for his play on the field, the first all-conference award of his career.  Dare ranked fourth in the NACC this season with 131 wins in the faceoff circle with his win percentage of 57.2-percent setting a program record for a single season.  He also set a program record for ground balls in a single season recording 104, good for third in the conference rankings.  Dare closes out his Sabre career as the all-time leader for faceoff percentage at 55.2-percent and second in program history with 158 faceoff victories.  He also grabbed 171 ground balls and 29 caused turnovers.
